HOW DO I BUY A CONTAINER?

Simple, go to www.speedycontainer.com  and scroll down to type in your zip code. Once done, choose the container you want and then add it to your cart.

When finished, go to your cart page, and you’ll have an option to pay by Card or Check/ACH. Follow the steps in the checkout and you’ll have your order placed in no time.

Or you could call our office and we can send you pictures of a container that you are interested in and then do the paperwork over the internet. The payment can be done Card or Check/ACH.

CAN I BUY A BLUE CONTAINER?

Generally no, you cannot select a specific color if you are buying a used container, but we do offer a custom paint for a small amount.  But if you are buying a new container you may have the option to select the color you want. Please get in contact with us before placing your order.

CAN I LOOK AT THE SHIPPING CONTAINERS BEFORE I BUY IT?

Yes, we fully encourage all visitors to come to our Von Ormy, Texas lot and pick out your container. Then upon delivery you know exactly what you are getting. No surprises.

IS THERE A SALES TAX ON THE PURCHASE OF A SHIPPING CONTAINER?

Yes, but please call the office for details.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS TO MILITARY?

Yes, we do offer Military, Police, and Teachers a discount on the purchase.

DO YOU OFFER VOLUME DISCOUNTS TO RESELLERS?

That would need to be determined on a case by case basis. Please contact our office.

DO YOU SELL REFRIGERATED OR INSULATED UNITS?

No, but we can custom-build a climate control container. Please call the office for pricing and scheduling.

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING CONTAINER DIMENSIONS AND HOW MUCH DO THEY WEIGHT?

20ft Standard Container – container is 20’ l x 8’ w x 8’6” tall. Weights approx #4500 lbs.

40ft Standard Container – container is 40’ l x 8’ w x 8’6” tall. Weights approx #8490 lbs

40ft High Cube Container – container is 40’ l x 8’ w x 9’6” tall. Weights approx #8600 lbs.

45ft High Cube Container – container is 45’ l x 8’ w x 9’6” tall. Weights approx #10692 lbs.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR WIND AND WATER TIGHT, CARGO WORTHY AND NEW/ONE-TRIP CONTAINER?

Wind and Water tight (WWT) and Cargo Worthy (CW) – containers that are guaranteed to be Wind and Watertight and are guaranteed to pass a Marine Survey to be re-certified to be loaded back on a ship or train.

New/One-Trip – containers are new containers that have only been loaded one time from the manufacturer.

DO SHIPPING CONTAINERS HAVE TITLES?

No, Shipping Containers do not have titles. Your invoice and receipt from us is all you need to prove ownership.

WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIMELINE?

We strive to get your container delivered either the same week or the following week. It really depends on how booked up we are with deliveries, and the period of time it takes to get your payment processed.

Also if you want to get a container and you are not quite ready for delivery, we can hold the container for you provided that you pay for the container and delivery.

HOW ARE CONTAINERS DELIVERED TO ME?

TILT TRAILER – The container will arrive on a trailer that will backup, tilt, placing the edge of the container on the ground. The trailer will pull away slowly and allow the container to slide off onto the ground.

ROLL-OFF TRAILER – The container will arrive on a trailer that has rollers on the bed of the trailer so that when the container is “rolled backward” it will tilt down and be placed on the ground, gravel, cement, 4×4’s, blocks, etc.

CAN I PICK THE CONTAINER UP IF I HAVE A TRAILER?

Yes, as long as the trailer is capable of handling a 20ft, 40ft, 40ft HC or 45’HC container. We do have equipment to load your trailer. Be aware you must have the ability to unload the container.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE THE SITE FOR DELIVERY?

You also need to make sure that if we are pulling through a gate opening that it is at least 10’ wide. The ground for delivery needs to be firm enough for us to drive on.

You want to ensure that you are placing the container on a flat and level ground. You can make a gravel or concrete foundation or even just put it in your yard without preparation. We have customers that use 4×4’s, round timbers, concrete blocks. We do not do any type of site preparation.

I ALREADY HAVE A CONTAINER, CAN YOU MOVE IT? WHAT IF THE CONTAINER IS LOADED?

Yes, we can move your current container. The delivery charge would be figured by where it is located to where it is going. The container MUST be empty. With a loaded container, it makes it much harder for us to load and we will not be responsible for any items left inside. So we insist that it be empty.

HOW DO I PREPARE THE CONTAINER FOR PAINTING?

Pressure wash only and let it dry. Apply proper paint with pneumatic paint sprayer or roller. DO NOT sandblast or grind the container. We do offer painting at our Von Ormy, Texas lot. All of our work is done in house.

WHY AM I’M HAVING A TOUGH TIME OPENING AND CLOSING MY DOORS?

You may need to grease or oil or use PB Blaster on the hinges and they will get easier to open and close with use. Ensure that the container is sitting on flat, level ground. If it isn’t then the frame may be twisted and makes it difficult to open the doors.

ARE ROLL-UP DOORS, WINDOWS AND ENTRY-WAY DOORS WIND AND WATER TIGHT?

Yes, Roll-up Doors, Windows and Entry-way Doors are Wind and Watertight, provided that we install them. If you have them installed by a third party, we can’t cover any installation.

HOW  MANY ROLL-UP DOORS CAN BE ADDED TO A CONTAINER?

This can depend on your container and the sizing of any roll-up doors and windows. Typically roll-up doors can be added to either side.

Please keep in mind that there are structural limitations on door placement without further reinforcement, and different door models may have different clearance needs. We will gladly help look into any specific solutions you are trying to figure out if you need further help.
